Brinklow Hosts 32nd L’Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion Gala

The 32nd annual L’Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion, under the leadership of the Emmanuel Brinklow Church in Ashton MD, serves as a platform to introduce high school seniors to spiritual, civic, educational, cultural, and social realms. The Debutantes and Beaus partake in diverse workshops tailored to equip them for their future academic endeavors.

The L’Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion curriculum encompasses a range of topics. “Mental Health Check Up”; underscores the significance of mental well-being, relating its relevance to personal life. “Love Thy Neighbor”; prepares participants to engage in community service within the DMV area. “Money Management 101”; imparts essential financial management skills and emphasizes future preparation. “What Fork Is This?” delves into etiquette norms for both formal and informal settings, while “What’s your Brand”; aids in understanding the impact of social media presence and personal branding.

This commendable organization also supports the Debutantes and Beaus in fundraising for their higher education. This year the 48 participants leveraged their village’s support to emphasize the importance of their academic progression. The 2023-2024 cohort of L’Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion participants have collectively raised over $330,000—an exceptional accomplishment for the Debutantes and Beaus.

The formal gala culminates the conclusion of the L’Elegance Cotillion-Beautillion program year, commemorating the achievements of each Debutante and Beau and presenting them to society. The event, held on April 7th at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in North Bethesda, Maryland, was a resplendent affair with over 950 guests in attendance. The organizing committee takes immense pride in the 2023-2024 Debutantes and Beaus and wishes them continued growth in all facets of life- educational, mental, physical, and spiritual.
